Father Nick was born in Duluth, Minnesota, on June 9, 1925. His parents were Nicholas Meyer and Mary Weidig. He was the second youngest with five brothers and four sisters.
His most memorable experience was studying philosophy: Scotus' idea of the Universal Concept of God (that moment God really became alive for me - I had to stop studying and went to chapel to pray.)
Fr Nick enjoys travelling, taking photographs, an occasional casino, sports, following the news, and watching movies on television.
His most gratifying experience as a friar was living in a community of friars ("I guess it comes from my family life with a large family that loved so much.")
