Victor Kingery was born to Marshall and Rena (Meyer) Kingery in Montrose, Illinois, on February 1, 1924 - the eldest child with four brothers and four sisters.
After finishing grade school, Fr. Alphonse, Coan, O.F.M., suggested that he attend St. Joseph Seminary, Westmont, Illinois.
Victor was invested with the name of Petrus Nolasco in Teutopolis, IL, on August 19, 1942. Frater Peter made simple profession a year and a day later on August 20, 1943, solemn profession 3 years later in 1946, and was ordained to the holy priesthood on June 24, 1949.
Having been Dean of Brenner Library at Quincy University for many years, Fr. Victor has always enjoyed reading. His most gratifying experience is the ability to continue to celebrate the most holy sacrifice of the Mass.
