Father Louis Antl was born in Joliet, Illinois on Jaunary 28, 1923. He was the son of John Antl and Mary (nee) Tesarek. He was one of five children, with two brothers (one died in infancy) and two sisters.

His most memorable experience was his ordination to the priesthood. He enjoys writing letters and visiting the sick and shut-ins.

His most gratifying experience as a friar was succeeding in completing and earning his S.T.D. (including the publication of his thesis), at the "Antonianum" in Rome.
